An alleged robber in Georgia learned why it’s important to keep a low profile after knocking over a bank.
Eric Rivers is accused of five attempted bank robberies, two of which were successful, and cops had been on his trail but unable to find him. That is, until he decided to speak with a news reporter on live TV about the traffic situation in town. The reporter had no idea that Rivers had just robbed a bank, nor did she know that as soon as the interview was over, he would rob another bank.
Police questioned the reporter about the man she’d just interviewed and used the TV footage to match the surveillance footage they had of Rivers from his last robbery. He was captured later that day.
