Two men sitting in a parked car outside a restaurant in Danville, Kentucky were arrested after one of them accidentally pocket-dialed 911 as they were talking about robbing the place. Making matters even worse, the police chief happened to be eating inside.
Police say the two men were heard discussing plans to rob the Brothers’ BBQ restaurant. The call was traced to a cell phone outside the restaurant, and the police department notified Chief Tony Gray, who was inside enjoying dinner. So he walked outside and spotted Robert Bourne and David Grigsby sitting inside a car. One of them reportedly had a mask with him.
Chief Gray says he believed the two men were drunk and weren’t actually planning on robbing the place, but they were both charged with public intoxication. More charges may be pending.
