A Florida man’s plan to catch the thieves who were stealing his mail backfired. He no longer has to worry about his mail being stolen because the U.S. Postal Service will no longer deliver it.
63 year old Nicholas Dibble became convinced that some neighbors were stealing his mail as revenge for his reporting criminal activity going on at their homes. So Dibble hatched a plan to catch them red-handed.
He placed a mousetrap inside the mailbox, raised the red flag and waited for the thief to scream in pain. He planned to let the mail carrier know about what he was doing, but the carrier took a different route that day and delivered his mail earlier than usual. When she reached inside the box, the trap snapped her hand, a hand that had recently been broken.
Police were called to the house but the mail carrier chose not to press charges. Instead, the U.S. Postal Service informed him that carriers would no longer deliver his mail
