A 74-year-old Indiana man, known in his church as “the cookie man,” has been charged with a couple of misdemeanors for passing around pot cookies.

Parishioners at the St. John the Apostle Church say Brian Jones (Pictured) was always baking cookies and bringing them to church to share with everyone. But one day, people who ate his chocolate chip cookies began feeling weird and suspected the cookies were laced with something. One churchgoer reported feeling like he was having a stroke.

Police paid a visit to Jones’s home and questioned him about the cookies. He denied lacing the cookies, but after obtaining a search warrant, officers found nine capsules of hash oil. He was arrested and charged with criminal recklessness and possession of hash oil
