Samsung has suspended production of its Galaxy Note 7 smartphone after reports of fires in its replacement models.

Samsung last month recalled the phones due to a faulty battery which was catching fire. Replacement models were offered, but it appears they’re having the same problem. So Samsung’s headquarters in South Korea released a statement Monday saying it was “temporarily adjusting the Galaxy Note 7 production schedule in order to take further steps to ensure quality and safety matters.” It’s not known when or if production will resume.

Anyone who owns a Galaxy Note 7 phone, whether it’s the original one or a replacement model, are advised to back up their data and turn it off immediately. Then they should return it for a replacement device
